Burberry Wool Blazer Vintage Tan M

Before it was just "Burberry," the label read "Burberrys" - plural, with an equestrian knight crest stitched into the lining, the mark the house used for most of the 20th century. This tan wool blazer carries that older label. No check pattern in sight; the house's now-famous beige/red/black plaid mostly lived as a private trench coat lining back then, not a design statement on tailoring like this. Mother-of-pearl style buttons, satin interior lining, classic notch lapel construction.

Burberry's check pattern was originally sewn inside the coat, not on the outside.
